I have a theory that being bloodbent shortens your lifespan, which is why only two of the Gaang are still alive. Aang and Sokka both got bloodbent by Hamma, and then again by Yakone with Toph. It can't be a coincidence that the only two who weren't are the only ones still alive 8|

I AM NOT HAPPY WITH ALL THESE ANSWERS THAT BRING MORE QUESTIONS THIS. SO MUCH. I HATE BEING CONFUSED/HAVING QUESTIONS, AND THIS SHOW MAKES MY LIFE SUCK FOR THAT REASON. also 1. Yeah uh Bloodbending NEED to have some sort of drawback...and I don't mean just getting Bloodbent. Using Bloodbending better have some kind of drawback as well. I didn't like how the users seemed to be totally unaffected in the original in some way other than Katara who just had her morals hurt by using it. I especially didn't like how it could be done just with the mind too. That....no. Just no. It's like a telekinetic just going "oh okay I think Ill create a black hole now by warping the energy everywhere". I dont know, that was just one of the things I didn't like... 2. Yeah Zuko's still alive XD he's old and stuff but still alive. I want him to show up definitely. I gotta wonder if Katara visited the North Pole's Spirit Oasis and got more water to heal his scar, or if he kept it. Personally Im kinda torn in what to hope for...on one hand I would want him to have been healed because he wanted it, but at the same time.... come on he's so sexy with it.

I'd be ten times more excited for the new seasons if Tarrlok wasn't my favorite character. -sobbu-
Also, technically the drawback to bloodbending is that it's extremely difficult to master, and the only known bloodbenders who could use bloodbending when it wasn't the full moon was Yakone, Amon, and Tarrlok. The only ones who were able to do it psychicly were among those who could do it any time, Yakone and Amon.
Let's also not forget the small number of benders who are known to be able to use the skill: Hama, Yakone, Amon, Tarrlok, and Katara. The only living one being Katara.
That's not to say it isn't a rather over-powered skill. It's just unfair to say that it doesn't have any drawbacks, and the 'It's like a telekinetic just going "oh okay I think Ill create a black hole now by warping the energy everywhere".' part isn't really a deserved comparison. There's no telling how long it took Yakone to master the skill because he was old when he was first seen using it; it took a young prodigy like Amon four years of rigorous training, from someone who knew how to do it, to master it, and none of the other known blood benders were capable of it.
-coughs, and flees into the shadows-

That feel when your favorite character dies in the first season.
I get the fact that it’s an incredibly difficult technique to master and I totally agree, that’s definitely a drawback to it and the fact that only a few people have been able to do it makes me happier, but at the same time I wish there was more of one to it. I think some of my reasoning for this may just be the fact that I like seeing the different styles of martial arts through each style of Bending, and also how sub-styles of the more mainstream technique are slightly variated (lookit me, making my own language) forms of that one larger umbrella of that main style.
Idk, that’s a contributing factor definitely. I know, though, that if Amon had needed to use physical motions of Tai Chi to Bloodbend though that would have been his cover blown and whoops there went the driving plot of the first season XD
I guess I’d want to see something a little less psychic, if anything, but I don’t even have a suggestion for a solution.

I love the franchise and even though it might not be as epic as the TLA, I won't say no to more seasons of LoK. There are a lot of jokes and they're just hilarious but...it's pretty clear that it's kind of messed up right now. The pacing feels very scripted and I'm not liking the main characters as much (with the exemption of Tenzin's family). It was as if season 1 didn't happen. It feels like the focus is too much on the plot and Korra. We all know her attitude right now is something that's supposed to lead to some character development but the other characters really feel like they're outside of everything. I can understand how yeah these people have their own lives and all but if that was what they were aiming for, it should have been better executed. Because there is so no Avatar Gang right now and the meeting with the president was really anticlimactic and hurried. And I can understand why Korra is being really vindictive. It may just simply be part of her personality to be protective of her family but it would have been nice if someone pointed that out or reacted to her threatening the judge and the president of killing them I don't not like it. I still like it, in fact, but this could become bad really fast.

i really want to like korra but they're messing up on her personality so hard that it's unbearable. she's very, very dislikeable and the few awww moments aren't enough to redeem her. i love how uncontrollable she can be and how bloodthirsty, but sometimes she acts like a horrible brat and there's no reason to it. i can try to justify it as korra is emotionally stunted. her entire life she has been the avatar and most avatars don't learn they are until they're about sixteen. but i just. can't like her right now. she's too bratty and awful.
on the other hand, i do like mako's character this season. he's confident, he's reasonable, and idk. he makes sense. he's trying to do what he thinks is best. it's nice.
that aside BOLIN.
BOLIN.
BOLIN.
also the twins. i adore the twins and i can't wait to see more of them and how they develop. u-u i just really wish they'd stop making bolin pure comic relief. at this point it feels like "is your name korra? is it mako? no? congrats you are nothing more than comic relief" no one is getting that much development and all the side characters feel subjected to be nothing more than humor. it sucks.

Korra's regression from last season attitude I really don't like but can tolerate cause of potential development--but I absolutely HATE the other characters being made out to be such a joke coughbolincough. That's probably been my biggest disappointment since episode 1. Twins are the best. like this alone just what xD and also, regarding the latest ep I'm both excited and furious about Korra being eaten by a spirit. Excited cause spirit world, obviously. Furious cause she was going to the Fire Nation. I wanted to see ZUKO'S DAUGHTER. And Zuko. If he's not traveling the world in retirement ._.

Agree that I feel like they are ruining Korra - she is extremely annoying. It's like she learned how to calm herself down last season and now this season, EVERYTHING makes her mad. Someone says something she doesn't like? She's mad. Do something she doesn't like? She's mad. Don't do what she wants, even if it's unreasonable? She's mad. It's one thing to be a teenager and another thing to be a brat. I don't like her personality at all.
Mako is becoming a quick favorite.

Am I the only one that feels emptyness when watching LoK? I can't place my finger on it but there's just this void that ATLA filled that LoK hasn't yet...
