This isn't really help regarding a plot, but more so... site events. I'm really stumped on what I could do to help create a bit more fun on my sandbox-style RPG.
Just as an overview, I'm referring to Starstruck, my freeform animanga roleplay. It's based in NYC, and basically "anything goes". That's why its so easy, and yet, so hard to figure out what the best kind of site events I should host. I considered a "Jack the Ripper" type event, but I might save that for when the site gets a little more attention.
Any ideas?

Ahhh, New York or The Big Apple. Whatever the hell you want to call it. If you live outside of NYC, you might think it's a happy place with magic, and a giant Christmas tree that everyone loves and cherishes. The movies can deceive you so you don't see the real picture. Gangs, dirty business and crazy love.
Basically, that is how I see your site. And I understand its freeform but that makes it a little easier yet harder at the same time. I mean now, you can do virtually anything but you gotta watch out if it fits into the whole NYC theme. I'm thinking maybe, you do a event where a gang, lets say The Tunnel Vipers (I was a member) do something and frame another gang or business. And you do a whole event where detectives have to click the clues together, with small hints from you of course. Honestly, I'm not sure how to make events without targeting specific people. Sorry but that is mainly my idea. The top part was just a little jogging of the memory, I know you know this.
