idk if I wanna buy Riven, Yasuo, or Azir. someone make this decision for me pls. If you need more mid mains, Yasuo.
If you need more top mains, Riven.
If you need neither, get Azir because that's the most interesting mechanics that Riot has released in years.

idk if I wanna buy Riven, Yasuo, or Azir. someone make this decision for me pls. AZIR LOOKS HARD AS FK TO PLAY NGL 2 lazy to fix caps. but uh idk. yasuo pstrong i guess, but i see a lot of them w/ down- i mean many unskilled players. go for azir. you'll have a fresh start and nobody will judge u for messing up.

I'm gonna be hella honest, I have barely read anything posted in this thread because it is always late and I have no attention span, buuuuuut, I downloaded the game and I really want to play. Some people have recommended good "starter" characters, but I was wondering who you guys like to play as? Why? Are they easy to play as? If not, how do I master them?

Some people have recommended good "starter" characters, but I was wondering who you guys like to play as? Why? Are they easy to play as? If not, how do I master them? Generally, I like to play strong duelists with outplay potential. Zed is a pretty big poster child for this, and thus, he's my favorite champion. He's one of the more difficult champs in the game to play to his full potential, but his skill floor is at least somewhat manageable. You just have to get a feel for his shadows and using them to get out of sticky situations. If a Silver scrub like me can do reasonably well with him, anyone can. I also like Ahri, Rengar, Jarvan IV, Ahri, and Draven. Rengar and J4 are both pretty straightforward, and are very strong picks right now, whereas Ahri and Draven are a bit trickier, but they're not too bad, once you get used to Ahri's skillshots and Draven's axe-catching. Other than J4 and Rengar, idk if I'd call any of them ideal beginning characters, but it's honestly nbd. Draven was the first champ I really made an effort to actually learn. As for how to master them, you basically just have to play and play until you get a feel for it.

I prefer Tanks. Why? Because if your team wants to win, they have to wait for you to initiate/start the team fight or skirmish. As the Tank you're pretty much the unofficial-official team captain. Most Tank champions take the less amount of skill yet require you to have above average judgement when it comes to how to engage, how to properly use your abilities, ect. My favorite tank would have to be Warwick or Volibear. Both are simple as fuck, deal crazy damage without you having to build damage, and have great focus/carry potential. I'd go into detail how one is better than the other but we gotta' take this one step atta' time, young grasshopper-kun. In short: Tank characters are easy, item builds are always the same with a little tweaks here and there, and teach you quite a bit in positioning and making the big calls that could make or break the game.
As far as recommended champions go,
All the champions that are 450 ip. Get em' all, play em' all, and go from there. They are the original cast of the game, and will ultimately show you your preferred type of champion, playstyle, role, ect.
How to master champions,
Play 1000 games, call yourself a -insert name here- main. Get stomped by another player who also mains your champion. Go through the five stages of loss and grief, play another 2000 games, get bored of said champion, pick up another champion, play about 50 games of the new champion, go back to your "main", then come to the realization you aren't Korean so you ain't a master of a damn thing.
But I'd totes play with you add me: IS U MAD OR NAH
