Hello, fellow Interwebbers! My name is Kaitlyn but you can call me Kait, Kat, KD, girlintheshire, anything really as long as it's nice. I'm 22 years old, currently living out my days in SoCal selling tea and reading books. I also write (mostly prose), edit (graphics), blog (when I can), and watch Netflix (all the time). Tumblng is a passion too so if you're interested in following me, head on over to Girl In the Shire! I reblog all day long so you'll always find something new. When I'm not busy doing any of the above, I write/send letters. Old fashion snail mail is a dying art, one that I want to help keep alive. However, I never object to email pals either. I love all sorts of animals but wolves, foxes (most all woodland creatures tbh), dragons, and cats totes top my list. I've had the privelege to own a few cats in my lifetime, three of which are kind of the stars of my Instagram account. I mean, lets be real, everyday is #caturday. Listening is something I'm always working on too so if you ever need to rant/vent/just plain talk, please shoot me a PM her, on Tumblr, or on AIM to girlintheshire. If I keep going, I will go on forever. With that, just keep in mind, I have very eclectic tastes so even if I haven't covered a topic here in my intro, chances are, we will have something common. If y'all want to know more about me, just ask. Hope you're having a great day/night and thanks for taking the time to read this! |

I don't know you, but I already like you. Everything you do I love. <3 I love that you still write letters. I used to do that with a friend that lived in the states. We would always draw on our envelopes. It's harder for me now cause I moved to China but it was such a nice feeling to get a letter and then writing one back. Good times.
Also, sell tea!? You have a shop? at 22? That's crazy amazing.

Thank you so much for your kind words! If you ever want a new pen pal, let me know. I'm pretty much open to mailing anyone that has common interests.
Clarification: I do not own my own tea shop. I wish I did! It's actually one of my dreams to one day own a book store/coffee and tea shop. I work at a store called Teavana. It was it's own company that was started back in 1997 by a husband-wife team. We are now "owned" by Starbucks (they bought us in 2012) but we like to say we're part of the same corporate family LOL. |
