#6 idgi Anyway basically what the title says. Anything and everything that is the 2009 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood can be discussed here SO THAT MEANS THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. Be it from the series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or the movie The Sacred Star of Milos, feel free to talk about it here. (if you like giving a warning to potential spoilers, please use the handy 'spoiler' tags. it's the same function as a URL tag. put the word for your spoiler in the bracket, then what you're spoiling between opened and closed tags) like this BACK ON TRACK. Basically, feel free to talk here about your favorite characters, pairings, etc. FROM BROTHERHOOD OR SACRED STAR OF MILOS MOVIE (which I have not seen lol). If you are looking for a discussion on the Fullmetal Alchemist OS, please look here for it, don't combine FMA and FMA:B in the same thread, because some people may have only seen one or the other and will be very confused ;A; Post anything and everything here, about the anime, manga, the VAs if you watch the anime, stuff you have related to FMA OS, hell even Cosplay (but dont like...spam the thread with cosplay pics lmao) if you want. Ready, go.
As for me, and I would GREATLY appreciate not being hated in every post following this for saying, I actually prefer the OS to Brotherhood. Yes, you read that right. I know it's not the "proper" story and plot as written by Arakawa, but it's what I saw first and ... I actually consider FMA my first anime. However, I will give the Brotherhood massive applause for so much they included plot-wise as compared to the OS. The depth and darkness of the plot really gave us a look into the Race, Religion, and Redemption that seemed to be such a pinpoint of Arakawa's writing. Not to mention the wealth of characters introduced and developed thanks to this series. General Armstrong plsAlright, I would appreciate not being hated for this in every following post either, but I don't ship hardly ANYBODY FMA:B. You read that right. Almost no obvious canon pairings, no yaoi, etc. I ship Roy and Riza together, poor Havoc with any chick he can find that treats him right, and Ling and Lan Fan because it's such a lovely relationship. Oh, and one more thing, I hate Winry. I think she's too whiny for her own good or Ed's. Sure, she's a good mechanic and childhood friend for him to go to in tough situations, but personally I don't see Ed with anyone. Al? Yeah because he's Al, but not Ed. But yeah, LET'S TALK ABOUT SOME OF THE SEXIEST MEN IN ANIME.

fanmade and from a wonderfully edited amv
[/size] anyways i absolutely love fma!! i'm currently on a brotherhood rewatch and i forgot how much i shipped mustang and hawkeye...it's becoming ridiculous how much i like them as both individuals and as a pair! and not even a solely 'romantic' pair either... platonic is fine for me, too, as long as they stick together. omg I love Roy and Riza, I want to say more in the Brotherhood than the OS because you see the background behind their relationship and the history between them, i.e. the tattoo on Riza's back and trusting Roy with the knowledge on it in addition to trusting him enough to burn the important part off of her back, but I think the real grabbing moment for me in their relationship in the OS was when Riza started sobbing over Roy when she thought he was dead after Archer shot him.

Lol, none of the pairings in FMA struck me. I was never really a big fan of pairings anyway. I have weird tastes.FMA:B is my ######1 favorite anime of all time. If series, it's second only to Suikoden. My top 3 favorite scenes would be: When Ed closed the door after informing Gracia of her husband's death, he overheard Gracia breaking down and sobbing. It was a crushing moment. I could only imagine how painful it must had been for Ed and Winry. There were no words of comfort that could have kept it from happening. When Ed had a moment of clarity that alchemy is the least important thing in a person's life. Throughout the series, Ed has always made use of alchemy as his tool. To him, it was what made the world go round. He believed in no religion or God, only alchemy. Despite the pain alchemy had given him, he continued to use it. In the end, he realized the foolishness of his naivety and discarded it. The Truth claimed that by choosing to give up alchemy, Ed had defeated him. Because giving up alchemy was no sacrifice (the one Truth has always asked in exchanged) but a blessing. When Hohenheim offered himself to Ed as a sacrifice to bring Al back as a way of paying for his sins as a useless father, Ed instantly lashed out at his offer and - for the first time since the failed human transmutation - cried. Honestly, all the Hohenheim-Ed moments were so powerful. They were subtle and have been building up. Family is one of the most important things that highlights a character. A person's problem and relationship with a family member is so much more different and complex than the face we show in society. In roleplaying, I always emphasize in my characters a difference in attitude depending on the people around them and the part their family plays in their lives. It's a dynamic very important to us humans and says a lot about who we are. When Ed saw Al's body in the gate for the first time. The black hands pulled him back in and the door closed...then it opened again and Ed had such a cool WOW moment :D SELIM BRADLEY IS PRIDE!!!!
