Am I the only one that feels emptyness when watching LoK? I can't place my finger on it but there's just this void that ATLA filled that LoK hasn't yet... it's called "bolin never gets character development" I was about to say lol. Even Sokka gets plenty of character development. Asami didn't have character development either by the way. Did Mako have that too? And I think the only reason we like Mako better is because of how much we don't like Korra now. What would really suck is if he was proven wrong, much like when Tarrlock was revealed to be a bad guy ||| I WANTED HIM TO BE A GOOD / NEUTRAL FORCE WHY THE HELL DID HE HAVE TO BE A GENERIC VILLAIN??? , and then it would be Mako apologizing to Korra - geez. I like how Korra "picking sides" has been pointed out but it would have been good if her friends - maybe Mako and Asami - talked a bit about how Korra's being too stubborn and aggressive. That way, we'd be pretty certain that the writers are doing this intentionally and using that for the story.

I think Mako actually has had character development. He cares about Korra but he is also loyal to his job and Republic City, going as far as ratting Korra out for being an idiot. Even Asami's had more character development than Bolin. She's shown to be mature, since she's taken over her father's company and is doing her best to keep everything afloat.
I'm sure Bolin has had small bits of development or at least depth here and there, but I feel like compared to everyone else, he's honestly forced into being only the comic relief. Sokka got way more development and depth than Bolin who is just there to be ridiculous.
i agree though. it would be nice if someone called korra out.

I agree for the most part, I wish that Bolin would gain that character development that Sokka had. Maybe after he finds out about the whole betrayal thing, and his obsession with being in character of that film, something would happen to develop his character. In all honesty Korra is a moron, a moron who obviously did not learn anything from season 1, about oh... I don't know think before acting, pay attention to your surroundings, and not be a tad fight before talk. No wonder the spirits are angry and attacking. Moment taken, yep well done. Be even more awesome to watch during the first 2 episodes of season 1, season 2 seems to ruin the feels.

I DO NOT LIKE
HOW THEY WERE TREATING LIN.
EVEN FROM THE START I KNEW IT WAS A SERIOUS PAIN IN HEART AND NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE.
It's not as if a person just wants to be very bitter and angry inside.

I'm shocked Toph was able to have two children by two different guys. That must mean they're auto awesome, lol. We have yet to be introduced to Sokka's children, I mean did he even have children....? I'm curious about him and Suki.
But ermahgawd, I love Opal, she is so cute and Lin was just being a douche to the wrong person. Opal is also such a good Airbender~<3
But I love Yin's sisters children lmao, but Opal is just the cutest.
BUT ERMAHGAWD KAI x JENORA~!!!!!! <3 They're my fav. couple now, lol.
We got to see Kiya do some badassery waterbending, but she doesn't seem to be as badass as her mom Katara though. ;3; She is semi-badass ngl.
Kai and Opal are my favorite airbenders at this point right now. #AirbendersAreBadasses
This season of LoK is really good, I keep catching feels and shit for the characters. Almost cried when Opal cried.

I have suspicions Su is Toph/Sokka's kid. She has the water tribe complexion and hmmmmm what water triber would Toph know really well in Republic City??? Either way I'm just pissed Lin & Su are half siblings cause now I have to wonder about TWO mystery guys. I demand answers But but but I also think Toph might be alive :DDD just judging from what the truthseer guy said when Bolin asked if they were going to meet Toph. I want to meet Toph edit: lol what

Yeah, Opal is a great character so far.
lmao that pic. Didn't see that last one coming xD
This means Toph and Zuko are the only ones from the original still alive (besides Katara). I guess Toph can still have his life-changing trip with Zuko even after 70 years or something.

Kay but, my question is, if Sokka is Su's father, what happened to Suki?
If they got married and Sokka cheated...
Damn. This kid's show got deep.

A CHARACTER JUST DIED YEY
I think I'd actually be on Zahir's side if he didn't send the truth guy to his spiritual death. It would have been really easy to be sympathetic to his cause...now he just seems like an Amon.

Tenzincan'tdieTenzincan'tdieTENZINCAN'TDIE There's no way I can have any sympathy for the Red Lotus's cause after that last episode
On the plus side: first airbending duel was intense, and I'm glad Zaheer isn't as great an airbender as he'd seemed up till now

WHY. THE. FUCK. IS. KATARA. NOT. INVOLVED.
"NOBODY KNOWS AANG BETTER"
HOW ABOUT HIS WIFE. THE MASTER WATERBENDER WHO'S BEEN DEMOTED TO "HEALER LADY WHO LOOKS SAD SOMETIMES" WHILE OLD ZUKO GETS TO RIDE A FRIGGIN DRAGON EVERYWHERE.
and Katara and Zuko were also really really great friends so idk why they're not bothering to show that so far? like I get it, Bryke hate the shit out of Zutara, it still doesn't negate their long standing friendship.

HOW ABOUT HIS WIFE. THE MASTER WATERBENDER WHO'S BEEN DEMOTED TO "HEALER LADY WHO LOOKS SAD SOMETIMES" WHILE OLD ZUKO GETS TO RIDE A FRIGGIN DRAGON EVERYWHERE. by sometimes, I think you mean "all the time" with the exception of maybe season 1 episode 1...but, this. She's the one who spent a whole episode arguing/fighting about how female waterbenders can do more than heal and here she hasn't bent a single drop outside of healing. Not a single mention for the rest of the Gaang (Sokka & Toph is more understandable on account of being dead(?)) but it's like this Katara is a completely different, 100x more passive, person from her ATLA self.

am i the only one who loves this season significantly more than the last two? like...it feels so much more like "Avatar" in my opinion it gives me nostalgia feels
so much so that i downloaded all three books and marathoned them in two days
but yeh. this season is hella ballin' like WAHT EVEN GUYS i'm betting there will be some intense character development in this season or....attempt at it, since they wasted 2 book's worth of potential development BI i'm naively optimistic about this series as usual so #srynotsry but bryke didn't have much help in the last 2 books and now he does, which is why it feels so much better than the last 2

Between this and the last two seasons, there is no comparison. I'd even go as far to say that some of these s3 episodes might be equal to if not better than some of ATLA's best—like the latest episode.
