There are times where I feel like making a site for us old peeps. XDDD But then I'm like, "What would it be about?" shot
I remember when I first started rping and found it relieving. It helps me think outside the box, evolve ( my writing, feelings, and that good stuff ), relieve stress, to enter into another world where I can become someone else, so much feels. I also like making nifty graphics to share with others & for the world to see. That's how I found out about adobe and it's neat bag of tricks. I don't know what I would have done without my adobe. :U *makes grabby hands* haha...! I stopped there because it would go on & on. ;___;
When I was in my teens, I would pray that my time with rping would never stop. Odd, yes but it's true. I even thought, I hope the years don't fly by and I come to realize I'm too old to rp. a deep thinker. i hate that about myself.
I need to find some more rp partners so we can skype and have fun together.

I hope the years don't fly by and I come to realize I'm too old to rp. You are never too old to RP, as long as the eyes help you writing and the mind thinking about awesome stories! Writing knows no age, it is a perene hobby.

I've been role playing since I was 9-10, and now I'm 24. Through all those years, I've met some pretty amazing people who were older, married, had whole families, demanding jobs, etc. and still role-played. I was also once on a site where a woman and her teenage daughter role-played together, and my brother's best friend's mom's actual job is to admin one of the bigger text-based RPGs. Role playing is a hobby, just as much as any sport is, and I don't think it's something I'll grow out of. Even if I get married and have kids, and have a full-time job, I'll look to role play.
But knowing me, my husband/wife will be a writer (because I am literary-sexual and fall in love with writing more than with actual people) and we'll just roleplay with each other and live happily ever after. I can dream, can't I?

I don't think I'll be stopping anytime soon. It just depends on my rl situation. If I'm busy in rl, I'll stop for a while but I'll more than likely come back. Doesn't matter how old I get.
And if young people think it's creepy how old people have hobbies, then that's them. xD They'll find out sooner or later how we felt.

i didn't really stop but i switched from rl face forums to anime bc like there were too many cliques on rl face forums and it was hard to branch out and meet new friends but tbh i'm learning it's the same wherever you go heavy sigh ofc it is we're all people aren't we. just like this age discussion it doesn't really matter because you can be 30 and less mature than a 15 year old i don't see why us old people need a forum of our own, unless all you young whippernsappers want to kick us in to an old folks home, that's it isn't it i'm on to you B( Frankly age shouldn't matter much with rp cus ur already rping ppl of differnt ages . That's jus my opinion tho haha. I'm still high schooler and thats what i think.

how does one simply stop rping?
wow that'd take a great amount of self-control that i def don't have. lmao. i'm too weak.
but seriously. it's addicting. even when i went to uni and had two jobs i still managed to find time deep in the night. somehow. i'll be rping until i'm an old cat man, and if people think i'm creepy, oh well. i enjoy it. not just writing, but the community. you don't have to tell anyone how old you are. that's the magic of the internet. you're whoever you want to be. maybe i'm cray, but i can't imagine giving up something i love so much. writing solo just wouldn't be the same. besides, i've met such a variety of rpers on rp forums, and i think people care more about the plots than the minor details of who they're writing them with.
so yeah. rping 5ever.

I've got two counters to this situation:
1. Two of my close friends are in their early to mid thirties. Both have children (one has a 3 year old and a six month old, the other has a 12 year old). The one with the twelve year old gets him to help her DM for LARPs.
2. My parents (the people who got me into roleplaying when they were in their early twenties) are now in their early forties and still roleplaying and DMing.
So no. No I won't stop. :3

I don't plan to in the foreseeable future, no. I have a lot left to do with my current characters and new ones sprout up every couple of weeks! I also don't see age as an issue. I'm going to be 29 years old come Friday and I'm still going strong.
