so i was working on a plot idea for a GoT site. currently it is set 100+ years in the future from the series and house targaryen still sits upon the iron throne. i was thinking that maybe the last few decades of targaryen rule is becoming too much for the other houses and they're all trying to get the targaryen's off the throne and replace them with their own houses? you know how i like political fighting so it's pretty much a free-for-all to see who gets the throne.
i was thinking that maybe the current targaryen king married many women throughout his life but he was infertile so he couldn't have any sons/daughters to rule after him? so ofc other targaryens are vying for the throne but then the other houses are trying to get their heirs on the throne.
how would we go about this? or are there any other plot ideas you guys have? i read the books but i'm not caught up on the shows yet orz

what about the watch? guys i need help orz
something has to be fucked up with the current king in order for this plot to work. but the books have already used the 'mad king' plot so the only other idea i had was an infertile king. or maybe he's not of royal blood? idk.

maybe the king could for some reason decide to join the watch, therefore leaving everyone else to fight over the throne? :/

Hm maybe the king shirks his duties or something? And the kingdom is in chaos because there's no one really enforcing the rules, and the noblemen are simply trying to gain more power/money etc..*slides off*

here's what i have as the plot. lemme know your ideas.
Kings aren't known to the be most...loyal of lovers. In fact, most kings have a Queen but they also have many lovers. Prostitutes know well the king's coin. So it should be easy to say that said king has many children and possible heirs to the throne...right?
Not King Baelor Targaryen. No, in fact, he has had many wives and they have all been banished because they weren't able to conceive children with the male. But after so many years of trying and failing - not even finding children birthed to the many whores that lay in his bed - people began to wonder. Was it not the Queens but the King who could not have children? Was he...barren?
Too bad no one had time to find out. A plague swept the land during the time of the King's crisis, killing off not only the King himself, but most of the ruling Targaryen family. But this plague didn't affect just King's Landing; no, it swept the whole of Westeros, bringing death and sadness to every house known in the country.
Not only are the individual houses fighting for their own lands, but they're also fighting for the Iron Throne to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Will one house best the rest and rule Westeros? Or will the country be forever lost in a sea of bloodshed and war?
Welcome to Sun and Stars.
