They're part of our lives but which would you rather not be living around in where ta certain natural calamity usually occurs? totally the perfect time to ask this after typhoon haiyan
I think I'd rather not be around a...blizzard? Wait, is that a natural calamity? I just really despise my experience with snow. NOT AS ROMANTIC IN TV.
If blizzard's not a natural calamity, then I uh. Earthquakes. Though I find drowning a scarier way to die, I find I'd be less likely prepared from an earthquake. It would be a serious matter of luck whether you get out of one alive, with buildings falling and everything.

blizzards can definitely count? i know in midwest america they can be terrifying.
as for myself i despise any iteration of nature that isn't a contained park within a city. so i wouldn't want to be around any area that suffers from them frequently. my greatest fear would probably be either earthquake (especially being in the subway during an earthquake i worry about all the time omfg) or a tornado. those are the ones i'd feel most helpless in.

Tornadoes or earthquakes for me, mostly because they're the most unpredictable of the lot. Things like blizzards, hurricanes, etc. can be for the most part predicted, but tornadoes and earthquakes are pretty unpredictable, and can cause a whole lot of damage.

Tornadoes and Earthquakes. I know they're technically everywhere, but there's no way I am going to live near tornado alley or on known fault lines willingly.

Tornadoes and Earthquakes. I know they're technically everywhere, but there's no way I am going to live near tornado alley or on known fault lines willingly. MFW you're on a fault line that hasn't gone off for a century and thus is anticipating its 'big one' at any given time.
As for blizzards, they are really not that bad. Keep your head and keep bundled and in shelter, and wait it out. Best thing to do. Plus, digging yourself out of your house after one can be fun.
Floods TERRIFY me, however. I just sit there going, "Depending on the time of year, either that water is going to be too cold to try to swim your way out of your house, or it's going to take your damn house with it."
