Long time lurker here looking for someone (or some people) I can be less lurky with. I'm just looking for one person really, but if more people end up interested in playing then I'd be okay with a group of three or so. More than that would be a bit too much for me. I don't have a forum in mind yet, so if you're already part of one I'll look at it. If you don't then we can look for one together. Rather than any particular setting or forum, I'm more looking for a character dynamic.
I'd like what I call a "BFF Squad." I consider this a pair or group of people that work well together, get along (overall) and just have a great chemistry. They don't have to agree all the time, and I am totally okay with a more tsundere BFF Squad where it's obvious they're friends but they constantly insult each other and the like. I don't mind if this flourishes into a romance, but I would prefer not to plan it that way. I'm willing to listen if you think you have a good idea though. Just one more note on romances though, I tend to be very shy about such things personally, so I don't want to play anything too explicit or too fetishy. Everything should be fine if the RP just focuses in the relationship (and isn't too fetishy).
I can play pretty much any type of character. Right now i'm in the mood to play someone a little on the derpier side, but I don't always end up playing what I happen to feel like playing before plotting once the plotting's done. I don't have any specific ideas at the moment, or any particular character I want to play, I'm just more in the mood to play a total dork.
I don't have too much preference on sites overall. I'd like to be able to play a human character, or at least something very human-like if the RP happens to take place in a fantasy setting. I like fantasy settings a lot, both past, present and in completely original worlds. I'm open to most anything, even settings based on some fandom I've never heard of. If it is a fandom I've never heard of though then the site needs to be understandable without any knowledge of the series, and you'll have to be patient with me while I figure it all out. I'd like to play in a relatively fluffy setting. I'm not in the mood to do much brooding or deal with very much angst. Take the word "fluffy" with a grain of salt though because "fluffy" for me can still mean limb loss and other dark and dramatic things, I'm just not in the mood for GRIMDARK or brooding.
That goes for characters too. Tough characters are fine, I just don't want to deal with much angst and brooding. I'd much rather be out doing things and being heroic and stuff. Or at least exploring other aspects of the characters and the relationship, while still doing something besides talking and consoling, or convincing the characters to go do something interesting.
I'm currently not interested in joining a site with a system of any kind. I love tabletop RPG (in fact, I'm currently developing one), I'm just in the mood for something more laid back where I can dictate how the story goes (with in reason) without having to worry about stuff outside the narrative.
EDIT: Some clarification on what I consider a system
1.) If I cannot choose my stats, even if the stats themselves are very fluffy, then I'm not interested.
2.) If there is any way to improve your stats, whether it's through posting or through OOC rewards, then I'm not interested.
3.) If I have to keep track of any information outside of the general setting and what's going on with my character then I'm not interested. This is especially true if I have to make a thread to keep track of equipment, my threads or anything else. This is also true if I have to submit my threads somewhere for some kind of reward.
4.) If any kind of adventure serves as anything more than a plot hook to make a thread happen, then I'm not interested. I don't want to have to make threads for OOC purposes as I will likely only have time to be in one thread at a time anyway, and I don't want to have to "grind" threads in order to improve my character.
5.) Any system that is strictly OOC, such as not being able to make more characters until you have x amount of posts with your current ones, is okay.
That's all I can think of right now. I probably made myself sound more picky than I am, so if you have anything interesting that sounds like something I would like then feel free to make a post here or contact me. The worst that can happen is that it doesn't work out. My Skype is HurrayForApathy. I'll accept everyone that adds me, so feel free to add me. I work full time and don't have access to Skype at work, so if I'm responding in this thread, but not to your message on Skype that's why. Don't worry, I'm not ignoring you.
