Why do you or do you not like them for your site? What do you have ooc accounts for, or why don't you? Would you let members create ooc accounts if they liked testing templates in your member corner?

luv em, but tbh only worth it on jcink with sub accounts or if you have a staff account - i love being able to edit everything without switching accounts. i guess it does keep your participated threads more organized, but otherwise it's kind of pointless on pb imo.

I've used occ accounts on pretty much every site I've had, though they're mainly limited to staff members, because they do a crazy amount of ooc posting and things get confusing & cluttered without them. The only time I've used them with members was before I completely figured out the exp plugin, because I didn't want members earning exp for chat posts XD

i always give the option for members to have one if they want one. makes for easy staffing/plotting if they want one, but if not, well... unless they're staffed, it's not something i worry about. i'm sad that proboards doesn't have a more friendly option like jcink does as far as the subaccounts thing goes, but they've improved it a lot from what it was when v5 first came out.
as far as my own personal preferences goes though for making them... i make ooc accounts on sites that i'm more invested in, which i usually end up staffing or with enough charries to justify needing one.

i like having ooc accounts tbh... for both staff and members. i get, idk, twitchy when things in the ooc area eg gallery, general board, are posted in the ic account. i just feel weird about it, seeing the character info rather than the member info?? i dont even know im just weird
ooc accounts are necessary for jcink i feel. on pb, i personally would ask members to have an ooc account but they won't necessarily have to use it. i'm cool with being on a site where members can't have them, of course.
oh also another reasoning for liking ooc accounts for everyone is for tagging purposes. like, when you're tagging a person for confirmation, it usually ends up like @char1 @char2 @char3 when they don't have an ooc account, and i would assume members to hover on their ooc account most of the time and it makes it more convenient if its just a tag of @member... idk
just my personal views

I have them on both of my sites and I like them because it's just more organized that way. Plus there are a few software related reasons on my end (but I won't bore you with the details). I wouldn't snub a site that doesn't use them though.
