So, in all honestly. I was actually VERY hesitant to make this thread. Cause I was scared cx. But, then I thought. "Why not see how many people would actually be interested,". So here I am.
So, here's what I'm thinking. For the past few days, I've been wanting to make a role play called. "Grapefruit". It would basically be a slice of life rp that takes place in a small town filled with people that have superpowers. They go the school and learn how to control their abilities to help humanity and stuff. It would also be somewhat romance-ish. cx. Cause every slice of life rp needs romance lol. I just thought of it as a cute idea and I would like to get your people's opinions on it.
Any constructive criticism would be nice. cx

First of all, don't be afraid to post anything here. GS is a community site. Anyone who would give you a hard time about what you post, so long as it's polite, is an ass.
Moving on, I'll start by saying slice of life and romance role plays really aren't my thing, but I can appreciate a good role play nonetheless. The genres you've picked are easy enough, so in truth my only question for you left is:
What can you offer for this role play that other sites haven't already?
In no way am I suggesting you need a 100% original idea. But given the lack of longevity for many sites ( especially slice of life, romance, and superpowers ), it'd be nice to have something you can pitch to your target group that would make your site stand out. In short, what can your site offer that currently existing ones can not?
I'm tagging EMMIE in this because she ran a superpower academia site, albeit based off of an existing series. She might be able to offer something.
Best of luck with the site.

no-heroes.boards.netAwesome slice of life - super hero academy - town based rpg that just came out. If you are looking to join a community that has this concept already, I suggest joining this one. If you are looking to make your own, as Levi stated, you'll need to try and come up with an original flair / twist to a sub-genre of Super Hero sites that has not already been done / overused / or already in current rotation in the RPG community, because then you will be competing with other sites for members in that genre and that is never a good thing because, as Levi said, those sites never last. I think that Super Freaks did as well as it did because it was the only Super Hero based anime school at the time so everyone who wanted to roleplay it, basically joined up. My suggestion? Make it a school for villains ONLY orrrrr something based off of a fandom, like a MARVEL based school / teen titans. Something where people can remake their favorite super heroes / villains into their own characters with unique twist. I did this once a long time ago, circa 2006ish with real life face claims and it exploded. Just giving my suggestions XD

Just giving my suggestions XD oh orignal version canons? that sounds fun i'm really digging the idea of focusing on the villains with heroes in the background. There's this new terrible disney show the Thundermans where the older brother is a villain? and the whole family knows but they treat it lightheartedly because i mean, no matter how evil villains actually are, they're still people too, yanno? idk man. idk. You could even do the rival high school rp with a school for villains and a school for heroes, and add elements of Sky High with sidekicks & things. I think that could be a good 'shake-things-up' type of deal while still accomplishing your original goal of SOL small town. The villains could organize themselves into gangs and terrorize civilians if you wanted to take it a step further, and the heroes should swoop in and save the day (or fail miserably b/c they're like 15). idk just tossing around ideas that i have at this point lol~
