So, this is a tutorial that I've been meaning to write for awhile, because very few people actually know that this feature exists in Proboards. Some sites come and go, this is a given. Maybe there's a profile you'd like to have back, but gosh darn it, you forgot to save it, and you don't have the administrator's information to private message them to go get it. This tutorial will teach you how to grab your content. If this tutorial seems a bit slow, I apologize, I'm trying to make the process as straightforward as I possibly can so that there are as few questions as possible. STEP ONE: Go to www.proboards.com/account/settings. This will lead you to your Proboards Global Account Settings. STEP TWO: Click on the link EXPORT under EXPORT MEMBER DATA. This should make your screen look like the screen below. STEP THREE: Choose the forum you wish to export your member data from, and choose the user. STEP FOUR: Go to your e-mail that your Global Account is registered under, and you should see two e-mails: One is Forum Post Backup, which is the posts you've made on the forum, and the other is Forum Conversation Backup, which is your Private Message conversations on the forum. STEP FIVE: Click the link provided in the e-mails. It should make you automatically download a spreadsheet. Open the spreadsheet. STEP SIX: What you will see before you is the BIGGEST MESS FROM HELL THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO CRY. That's because, in their infinite wisdom, Proboards coded this program to separate your words of your posts into one word per box on the spreadsheet. However, you will be able to scroll along the boxes and pick out the wording you need, and probably look at the content and know how to write it better. I never claimed this was an optimal process, but it is an option, and it is there if you absolutely need it. Enjoy.
