I am running an interest check on this idea for a site that I had the other day and talked over with a friend. We still have a lot of development to under go, but I want to see if the idea is worth developing at all. So, this is where we have gotten. ^^;
SETTING
The setting will be a medieval era RP with an English/European-esque inspired lore and location. The known mapping of the land at the current point is the kingdom of the humans and the vast forestry that belongs to the mythical creatures. At this time, the magics known are Arcane(human magic), Natural(mythical magic), and Witchcraft(Neutral races magic).
PLOT
The humans and mythical creatures called the Fae have long been in a war. The human kings for the last few generations have been power hungry and sought to have the land the Fae had, which was much more beautiful and vast than the Capital ever had. The king of this time had wanted the power the Fae possessed; natural magic. It was what kept the Fae and their home safe for so long.
It wasn't long after the king had people work to find their own magic, something to use against the Fae. It was then they discovered Arcane magic thanks to the gifted study those that are called Sorcerers. With this, the king felt sure that human kind could invade the fae's land and sent another attack out. The battle was just another stalemate, but the Arcane magic did work in the favor of capturing some of the warrior Fae. The humans had brought them back to an outpost just outside the capital. To the king, this was some success and decided for the days to come, he would send more attacks only for the sake of capture.
His state of mind behind capturing the Fae folk was to ask them to join him. But he already knew they would refuse and decided that the Sorcerers were to use their magic on the Fae to enslave them. Little did anyone know how this new magic would effect the Fae creatures. The king kept on sending the attacks and soon caught the queen of the Fae, the most powerful Fae of all who was the only one that could wield all the natural magic. This fact highly interest king in how she was the only one able to use all natural magic and wanted that power to himself.
The Arcane magic inflict them almost like a disease. It physically corrupted them, and their magic. Under the prolonged exposure of just being around this magic turned the creatures into things that were nothing more than their former selves. Those in captivity also slowly began to loose their mind and were not the peaceful creatures anymore.
Realizing that enslaving them wouldn't work, he choose to have the sorcerers to figure out how to steal their magic, starting with the queen Fae and giving him the power she possessed. Stealing her power had failed the king and he then decided if he couldn't have her power, that would rather have a monstrous creature that no kingdom would dare challenge. He asked the sorcerers to inbue the queen with Arcane magic. The high levels of the magic directly put into the queen didn't infect her like the prolong exposure of the entrapped fae. It instead killed her, leaving the fae folk without their higher guardian.
The sheer amount of infect, captured fae soon grew out of hand for the humans to control. The plagued Fae broke out of their imprisonment and fled away from the capital, many returning to their homeland. The few that didn't were too crazed and rampaged on the smaller surrounding villages. When the infect returned home, they too carried the harmful effects of Arcane magics and the infect spread into the Fae's land.
In order to stop the spread, the infected Fae were pushed to the borders of the land and any place humans have had interaction in while the non-infected fae drove themselves deeper into their home. The infected that still held their sanity guarded out those without sanity and the humans from digging in deeper.
The king still wishes to dig into the Fae's land, even at the cost of the Fae's lives. Especially the lives of monstrosities he had created in his searching to power from the Fae. He has called upon the Elves and the Shapeshifters, but both have claimed neutrality from the affairs that have plagued the Human and Fae lands.

Q & A
I just figured I'll put a thing for all the questions I get so that there's always a place to refer to before asking questions, just do keep from repeat questions in the future. I'll include my answers. Please ask questions freely!
Q1.) Grimoires? What are they?
A1.) They are books in which the witches use to keep all their incantations, spells, and other elements of their craft in. From the simplest spell that a witch learns by heart to the most complex, intricate spells that take days to prep and perform. Even taboo spells are held in these books. Each grimoire is related to the circle and/or family it belongs to.
Q2.) Will LGBTQIA be allowed?
Q2.) Yes. They will be included. There is evidence that those identities and relationships at that time, as well as we want to appeal to the masses. Higher ranking officials usually kept these identities and relationships hidden due to their position.

UPDATES
8/11/15 My friend and I have finally reached the point of attention that we believe we can take this project on. Yes, we are calling a project now! ^^ We have discussed over a lot of things for the site so far, but it there's still so much more to talk about and do. Hopefully we'll have the site ready soon.
I would also like to include in this update things that we talk about after deciding that we can do this. We talked on the matter of the possibilities of the site's plot. With as much talking on that we did, I will simply say the plot, aside from the lore and setting the site up, will not be heavily acted up by us as staff unless necessary. Instead, we leave it in the hands of the members to decide how conflict will carry out and what new troubles hold out in the end. We want to see the members be as much as part of the story we're giving you as we are.
For our mission boards, we've finally decided how exactly this will work. The missions and quests given to you will be yours to do as you please, some will be solo missions, and some won't be. We've also decide to keep solo abuses of the missions low to put a limit of missions that can be performed per week to be fair to everyone. Additionally to that, we've also said that the missions would be done by post count. Well, on that, we've said it would be a good idea to vary the post count and word count on the matter your party's size and on the quest's level. Some missions will be better performed with a team and some will be needing a team in order to progress in the rest of your missions. Unless upon request, a staff member will most likely not be in these threads until towards the end when you have achieved your goal. You can request us to come in and give a curve ball to help you hit your post count. Obstacles in these quests may vary to switch up results and so everyone can get their own experience.
So do you like maps guys? Well, we are crafting one for the site! We have two different kinds of map generators at this point and will hopefully utilize both. We hope this will help people know their environment. We also hope to be able to use one to create a mission maps as well, but this fact remains not a 100% possibility.
As I said, there's still to much to talk about and to do. I will going for now, but soon I'll have another update for you all! Pray it's a name for the place.
8/12/15 We have a name! Dies Irae, it is a latin term for day of wrath. I thought it fit the world we have crafted and that is short enough to remember easily.
We've also decide we will implement cannon positions. Those roles are to be announced later when we figure them all out, but most will be under the human cast. The reason being is the governmental states of each faction which we also discussed. To give you more insight to that, the government that humans have will be your typical monarchy. The government the Fae use is currently one that's almost Utopian. Even before the loss of their queen, her purpose was not to rule, but guard the Fae from the outside and watch over their worldly affairs that went well outside their land. With her passing, the Fae now shut out all that isn't neutral or allied with them, and even those allied with them are shut out (e.x. - Infected faes that are in their right mind that guard the boarder lands.). No one is seen as an above-all creature in their realm and they live peacefully among each other at this time. The Elves and the shapeshifters on the other hand disregard all law. They live by their own codes, often making family like groups known as witch circles. These family groups can be of all blood relative or completely random people that are sworn to protect each other, depending on the head (usually the strongest witch) choice of people. It should be noted that some shifters were born to be familiars to witches. Those among the neutral alliance that use witchcraft are sought after by the human government for remaining neutral, making the king feel under threat of witches. There will be a symbol for the witches and their circles later.
The bestiary! Let's not forget that. My friend will be crafting that mostly. I am going to help, obviously, but she wanted the reins on this. As far as it's concerned, there will be some old lore creatures you may recognize, and some mere inspired from the lores across Europe and British isles. There maybe even so odd ones that will come in. This is a fantasy setting, we're going to let it blossom that way.
And our discussion ended with the magic types there is thus far and possible futures ones (Those I won't give away to this soon though.). Natural magic covers elemental things, such as fire, earth, air, and water. Witchcraft is going to be done in classic witch fashion; grimoires, incantations, herbs, and crystals. The works. Both simple as that. We're currently in the middle of working on the Arcane. Being as it's the newest form of magic, we're not eager to give you guys just all-knowing powers sorcerers behind this magic. Even those that master such a young magic (not even decades old) aren't bound to know everything (With there not being sure why this magic affects the faes as it does is unknown as well). We're still debating what to implement from this magic with at the start and slowly introducing more later.
Well, this is all for now. More in store later. (Also I made this prettier? I hope?)
8/13/15 This is a smaller scale update, as I'm a tad busy today and have a lot on my mind at this moment. So short and (I hope) sweet. I simply wanted to introduce my partner in this project. My friend, Deva, is helping me since I've returned from a long hiatus and not overly sure how things work these days. She will be working on the bestiary and the mission boards namely, as well as a share in figuring out how the magic types will be working as far as we have figured. I've also added a q & a section here as questions will be brought to me, I'll put them there so they're there to refer back to at all times. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a larger, juicier updates.
8/19/15 Another minor-ish update. My friend and I currently do not have the time (Nor do I have too much of the knowledge) to skin our own site. So, I put out a request for someone generous enough to lend us a hand. Getting this remodel will get us moving a lot faster and into a ideal range of when a release date will be for the grand opening. I know guys, we just keep teasing you all as you wait so patiently. I promise your patience will be rewarded!
