Do you have a favorite character alignment? I usually don't do Chaotic because I like having my chars within a organization or group, so they usually end up as Lawful or Neutral. I just like being in the society. But my favorite would be Lawful Evil. And not the sort of evil person who just enjoys blood for the lols. Having a selfish goal, a certain outlook in life, and while operating with the "good guys" is what I feel to be an interesting, realistic piece in the mix. Lawful is where most of the good guys are and I love acting as a foil to them.
I lean on the Lawful side because I like engaging and fleshing out politics in RP. Politics not necessarily being involved with a certain position. One can be engaged in politics just through discussion of it. I just love the dimension it adds to the RP. It changes things.

Man, I'm the type who loves to jump around to every part. I think I mostly prefer the chaotic side though- I find it incredibly interesting to work out the train of thought of someone who just doesn't care, and has a bit less moral. So I tend to play people in the neutrals and chaotic myself- though that being said I don't this that closes them off to political things or organizations. They're just more willing to get down and dirty or play unfair. I have a lot of characters who are in organizations, and I think they are just more interesting when they step out of line.
That being said, I'm all for RPs that flesh out the politics and strategies of things, I need more of that.

chaotic
chaotic is seriously my favourite thing to roleplay, because i like playing the kind of characters that just, fuck shit up and are pretty explosive and don't really care?? good, neutral or evil, it doesn't matter. i just...really like playing chaotic. it feels more natural to me, honestly. but, i must say, true neutrals are interesting to play, and so are lawful characters

although i have only been able to fully rp it on one site so far, my favorite has to be chaotic good. because there's just something about having a character knowing they're not a good person but trying to do what's right anyway, only to backslide into the very things they're trying to stop by sometimes stepping outside the law (and "acceptable" moral boundaries, too, on that one site) and realizing that they've become the monster that they swore to themselves they wouldn't be that does it for me.
the angst is real and that is one long sentence ngg.
