SPEAKING OF HORROR GAMES.
I am a big fan of the horror genre, realistic or not. I just love the tension most horror games have when you're stuff having to explore creepy places and solve puzzles to gtfo, while at the same time... you're not alone and it's coming for you. Well... not all games follow this formula but they can be scary in their own special ways, I mean horror and scary is completely subjective.
Which leads to the question of what horror games have you played, and what ones hold a special place in your heart? What was your first horror game? Did you shit your pants the first time you played? XD
As for me, I've played Haunting Ground (not a very well known game but it's a gem in the rough), I've played FNAF (which is a separate thread), I've played Bioshock, I've played Catherine (yes it's considered a horror game, just leans more towards romance and puzzles with sprinkles of horror), and I've played American McGee's Alice. And they're all amazing and somewhat terrifying games.

Alright I'm gonna be honest, I'm a scared person when it comes to horror games, so I've only watched walkthroughs of them. But recently I picked up "The Evil Within". And I'm gonna be honest, haven't finished it. It's my first one and it really isn't that scary so far...but I get pissed off at it easy, because lets just say I play it on the hardest level and that just isn't good when your scared of what could be around the corner. Now something I look forward to is "Until Dawn", just watching game play of it has me screaming and crapping my pants. Now when I get my hands on it...I'm gonna be a scared mess. Most likely sucking my thumb in the corner and crying my eyes out. xD

Gosh! I got say that I am major horror holic! Life without horror games would be boring as hell! Okay that had to come out, now to the more important stuff, the games =w= I am way too founded of old school survival horror games, and my base is still with the old and elder Silent Hill games. Silent Hill 2, is still the king of horror! I almost made me wanted to turn my head around in 360% spin and it still manged to do the same thing over and over again, when I play it. I also fancy the old Resident Evil games, they are amazing, and I hate what they have done the the new game, it like they have turned into action and forgot the horror element while they where in the process of making the new games. I regard to say that I had to putt Resident Evil down after the Resident Evil 4 the whole thing simply died for me, and it a shame really Q_Q Great games died young!
I have also played Bioshock, and it is among my top games! The universe is simply amazing, the plot is die for and the atmosphere is over the top creepy. I remember the first them I ventured into Rapture, it was bloody nightmare, that scared the hell out of me. And it can still scare the hell out of me! Though I also love the old school game called System Shock 2, that game was the mother of Bioshock and it worth of playing <3
I have also played a number of RPG horror games, but my all time favorite is Corpse Party. The plot line makes it amazing, plus well developed characters and game.
Last but not lease! I am an all time big fan of The Evil Within, which is quite new. But it still quite an amazing game to play, thought the story make little sans the first time, but with the DLC's it got a little better. I love both Ruvik and Leslie, but at the same time I had to cry my eyes out after playing the DLC's Q_Q I will never trust humanity again Q_Q

wickedgrin, would you say that the DLC is better than The Evil Within? Is it worth playing?

Well if you want some more background on the game, then yes! I would say that it gives a lot more light on what was going on in the game, it also gives more light on what really happened to Ruvik by adding more background on the whole STEM project and what it was designed for ^^ Not that I will tell too much because that will destroy the DLC's.
