Alright, so what I'm wondering is possible, is if you can say, display an image for a board description. When you hover over that image, it would give you the board description in a neat little hovery-table. Is it at all possible to do this on v5? If so, could someone tell me how? I have yet to figure it out XD I'd really appreciate it!

you'll have to insert a div class into your forum wrapper layout template. so for example
.deschover { opacity: 0; } .deschover:hover { opacity: 1; }
you'll want to do other styling such as height/width, any transitions (to make it fade), font color, size, whatever. make sure both the class and the class:hover have the same exact coding in them! otherwise things will look weird when it is transitioning. the only difference is that the class should have opacity: 0 and the class:hover should have opacity: 1.
then in your board desc you SHOULD be able to put something like
[div style="background: url(BG IMG URL HERE); height: xx; width: xx;"][div class="deschover"]your desc text here[/div][/div]
and it should work, unless i forgot a step.

habs Thank you! That's pretty much exactly what I wanted and it worked exactly as you said. But I have another question to add to this. Do you know how to make it so each board can have a different picture? For example: Say I have a forest area, and a town area. I want the forest area to have, well a picture of a forest, and the town to have a picture of a town. Is this possible?

most def! i'll explain why. my first post probably was confusing cuz i forgot to put noubbc tags lol
the div classes you put in your forum wrapper code should only contain the coding needed to make it hover. the bbcode you put in your board's description will contain the image!
so to break it down:
[div style="background: url(BG IMG URL HERE); height: xx; width: xx;"] this is the tag that will hold your image. since it is outside of the class you created before, it isn't affected by the opacity. it's basically a container that holds your div class for the hover. where it says BG IMG URL HERE, you can change that for each desc you put it in.
[div class="deschover"]your desc text here[/div] this is the div class you created before. since it is affected by the opacity, when it is not hovered, it will have no opacity and be clear. however, when you hover it, the hover effects come in to play and the opacity goes from 0 to 1.
[/div] and this tag just closes out your div styling from the first div tag!
does that make sense? ;w; i'm not the best at explaining

habs Oh! Okay that makes much more sense! And I actually get what you're saying. I completely forgot about the div style bbcode thing (which is sad, since I made a template earlier using them). Except now it's giving me another issue. The class won't work or do anything unless I put <*div class="deschover"><*/div> into the Layout Templates > Board > Board List around the code that sets the description there. If I remove it, it completely ignores the div style and just puts the description on top of the image. But putting it in the Board List makes the image follow the deschover opacity.

hmm. is it an issue or is it working how you wanted it to? could i get a link to the site please?
i wasn't sure if the place where you put in a desc would accept the code, since i haven't actually tried to do it myself

habs It's not working the way I want it to no. I want the image to be static and stay showing and when you hover over it, the text come up above it in it's own little hover-y box. Just the image does whatever the text itself does :/ And sure. I took the site out of maintenance for now. Here
