Tell me!
I'm especially interested in how/when people decide to finish open threads.
Discuss?

When it seems to reach a conclusion xD that's all I can really say. Open threads are a pain to end because they tend to be more aimless and random than private ones. You can't exactly end it when you haven't really gone to somewhere...unless it's a casual thread? Casual meet up, hi, talk, bye. When a character leaves is usually the end of the thread.
I usually end my thread with a cool line or something. The thread can't end abruptly >:C there must be the feeling that it ended.

I end threads when we say it should end. lol Sometimes it's ended up abruptly but usually because we ran outta muse or someone needed to finish threads to leave for a while.

I tend to end my RP threads at around 30 posts, sometimes it's a cut-off and other times it's...well done. It's tedious work for me to finish a thread though so.... :L

never end your threads. have the characters be talking about the weather forever, stuck in a time loop.

never end your threads. have the characters be talking about the weather forever, stuck in a time loop. is it currently winter onsite? don't fret, it is still summer in your thread.

When it seems to reach a conclusion xD that's all I can really say. Pretty much how I feel about it. Some people I RP with don't seem to notice that a thread is winding down and reaching its natural conclusion and will try to throw something else into it to keep it going. That's difficult because I personally love to finish a thread and move onto the next one. I've taken to telling those people they won't get new threads with me until the older ones close so now they don't try to stretch a thread into infinity.

Usually, if someone posted an epic conclusion, it's ended. Sometimes it leaves a "to be continued here" - in another thread which is focused on another tangent subject.
