If you're using a template is it required to give a link even though the site is private AND in maintenance mode? I think it's pointless to do so, but I wanted to be clarified of this matter. c:

for me at least it's nice to know my temps are being used, even if i can't see them in action i guess it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside idk

it's the polite thing to do and people love to see when their stuff is used. it helps us feel like we're making codes for a purpose and they aren't just collecting dust. there IS the option of pming the creator if the forum is private and you don't want others to see it. but if the forum is in mm, then others probably aren't going to bother joining anyway? idk, you could just pm the creator if you're worried about that.

I honestly don't think it's pointless. Like what Meg said, it's the polite thing to do. It's like when someone helps you pick up all your stuff after you've dropped them. You don't just stare blankly at them, you thank them.

well if they're super hot you stare blankly.... and then stammer thanks once they smile charmingly and leave.

meg stahp with your weird meet-hot-people fantasies gahd.
anyways, I think it all boils down to the personal preference of the coder who made the template - I'm on the cusp of insanity with my codes, so yeah, even if its on a private storage site rp, I want to know where mine's being used. For me it's not so much a matter of feeling that my codes are appreciated, as much as because I made it, I'd just like to be kept aware of when / where it's being used??
