THE FATHER
firefighter - beast - fourty-seven - open face - outsider

for those of you who read over etta's application, you're probably thinking that i'm absolutely insane and that i wrote that her father was dead. well, the truth of the matter is that everyone believes henry pyro to be dead and no body was ever recovered after he went through the ice saving those two boys. as it turns out, he was washed down the river and made it quite a distance away from the town before his body surfaced and he was discovered elsewhere near death. he was taken to a hospital and there remained in a coma for quite a while before he finally awoke with no memory of anything. not his name, not where he came from, not if he has family...nothing. he tried in vain with the help of some of the locals to see if perhaps they could piece together some part of his memory, but nothing ever seemed to help. eventually he gave up on trying and settled himself into a new lifestyle, one that wasn't nearly as happy as the one he had previously had. he settled himself into a cottage in the woods just outside of huntingdon, where he hunts for his own food and avoids other human beings at all costs because he finds that they remind him too much of something ghost-like. he's given up entirely on regaining his memory, which has made him a little bitter and wild over the last few years, his cries at night echoing through the trees and bringing to life the legends of the haunted woods. i think the beast would be the perfect character to play henry pyro, and i was thinking perhaps something along the lines of hugh jackman for his face. of course, i'm completely open to discussing the face of the man who plays the father, especially since he would need to look old enough to be the father of etta's older brother, whoever that ends up being.

THE INTEREST

every girl needs someone to be there for her eventually, right? i'm thinking perhaps that this lad could have been childhood friends with etta and moved away when they were still rather small, thus separating them for a long while. etta has only newly started to attend the college, but i'm sure we can come up with a decent reason for the two of them to not have run into one another before hand. ultimately they're going to be rather surprised to have found one another again and begin the slow process of going from friends into potential love interests, though none of this is set in stone. it would then allow him to become aware of her work troubles in some way so that he can jump in and try to help her before she gets pulled too deeply into the chaos. he might perhaps even be able to assist in mending her broken family. all of these things are possibilities of what we can do, but at the very least i feel as if etta needs a friend, someone she cane turn to about all of the troubles that are going on with her two brothers. i've recommended phoebus for his disney character, and in terms of faces i was thinking either liam hemsworth or max irons. or, for a slightly different take on it, perhaps quasimodo with a face of eddie redmayne? again, we can talk.

THE BOSS
revolution records co-owner - scar - fourty-two - daniel craig - resident

this man here is etta's boss, the one of two who owns revolution records but the one who spends more time inside the actual studio. she started working for him as an assistant because it would allow her to have free access to the recording studio when it wasn't in use, and since singing is the one thing etta wants to do most with her life, it seemed like a logical beginning. but one day, etta stumbled upon her boss in the midst of something rather dark (which can be discussed) and suddenly found herself wrapped up in the whole thing. her boss is now threatening to ruin both her and her family if she tells anyone about what she saw, and he blackmails her into doing every little thing that he desires. he's slowly working up a plan to have etta do some kind of run for him and frame her for the act, thus putting her away and throwing all scent from himself. i thought scar would be a great character for this, but both he and daniel craig are merely suggestions. if you'd like to discuss the character or possibly see about making some adjustments to him, then we can talk.

AURELIA ROSE HALL

THE KIDNAPPER
rapunzel's pub owner - lady tremaine - fourty-five - meryl streep - resident

i named her belladonna in the application, though this name is completely open for debate if you wish. this woman was with aurelia's biological father when they were in high school, but he broke things off to go to college and fell in love with someone else. swearing revenge on him for breaking her heart like that, she waited until the perfect moment, which was just after aurelia was born. in the middle of the night she was snatched from her cradle and stolen away from new york city where her family lived, and instead taken to huntingdon, virginia where she would be raised by the same woman who had stolen her. but, hearing that her biological parents had not given up the search for her within a few years, belladonna ceased bringing the child out with her when she went places about the town and basically saw to it that she was raised in seclusion. she had come to love the girl in a rather strange way, but was so afraid of being found out for what she had done that she dared not give anyone a chance to recognize her. it's not that she's overly cold toward aurelia, just that she cares more for her own personal safety and therefore refuses to let her wander any further then the restaurant below their home. i was thinking that meryl streep would be a wonderful choice for personifying lady tremaine, but we can talk about it if you are opposed to such a character choice.

THE FATHER
open job - mufasa - fourty-five - robert downey jr. - outsider

again, i named him patrick mcqueen in the application, which can be changed if you so desire. this man happens to be aurelia's father, her real father from whom she was stolen before her first birthday. he and his wife were absolutely devastated at the loss of their daughter and spent many years pleading with people to help them find her. unfortunately, nobody could. eventually his wife natasha gave up hope of ever seeing the child again and died of a broken heart around the time that aurelia turned ten, leaving patrick alone in his grief. but with the death of his wife, his determination to find his daughter has renewed and he is now trying to locate his ex-girlfriend and reach out to her after so many years of silence. little does he realize that this is the very same woman who kidnapped his daughter and therefore caused the death of his wife, so putting them together will bring about some interesting drama if/when he ever finds aurelia and learns the truth. i chose mufasa and robert downey jr to fill this role, but i'm certainly open to other alternatives. i'm thinking perhaps he could have something to do with the music industry, perhaps as a producer, which is how he meets the hero and all of this drama between people begins.

THE HERO
open job - prince charming - twenty - darren criss - sophomore

this gentleman came from somewhere else to attend huntingdon college, wanting to be a musician despite the protests of his family. he's currently a sophomore at the college and takes his studies very seriously, but he's also taken notice of a young woman that he sometimes sees in rapunzel's pub when he goes there from time to time with friends at the end of the day. he'd be rather gentle with her at first, especially when he sees how shy she is around people. due to her age, she can't stay in the pub after it gets late, but she works there during the day serving food to hungry customers, and he's slowly beginning to figure out when he might be able to catch a glimpse of her. i'd really like for him to slowly approach her and be the driving force behind her adventures outside of the house, since she would have to sneak out and be rather careful about how long she was gone for. it would be great if we could incorporate him into the drama that will surround her family as discoveries are made, so we can discuss that when someone takes a fancy to him. i've chosen darren criss for prince charming because i think he's pretty damn perfect, and you're welcome to make him a musician, a singer, a poet...whatever you want. something artsy would be good though.

MILLICENT REGINA HARDING

THE LIFE CHANGER
college dean - open spirit - fourty - jeremy renner - faculty

this will perhaps be the most open ended request that i make, but i'm looking for a character who can make a big change to milly's life and perhaps allow her to become less of a villain. i played with her history somewhat and made it look more like she was victimized through her life, which would give her better reason for turning into a bad guy in the end. she spent a lot of time alone, working on her magic and creating spells and curses that she might find useful later on. one of those curses was stolen from her while she was pursuing phillip, and as she neared death, the magic took hold because the thief had set it free. she is now the mayor of the town and oversees absolutely everything that happens. and while she has sworn to herself never to fall in love because she has seen first hand how easily it can be ripped apart by external forces, someone has come along that has changed that entirely for her. making him the college dean gives him a bit of power without there being any major conflict about the fact that she is the mayor (like if he was chief of police for example), and i feel like there are several avenues that can be explored here. i'd like for him to be a rather kind soul who tries to find the good in absolutely everyone, the guy who cares genuinely for the students who attend the college and who wants to see the town continue to grow the way that it has in terms of being a community. his kind heart will appeal to milly and make it rather hard for her to focus on much else, so i'd like to hear what thoughts might be had on this character. the disney character is entirely open for debate, but i'd really like to see jeremy renner used as a the face unless you're totally opposed and can offer me someone better.
