I love turn-based strategy games. Me being most expert at card games in particular. I love the Might & Magic series and though I never actually got to finish it, I like Brigandine too. Of course, there's Fire Emblem (Sacred Stones and the Tellius series) too. I like army + strategy games theme and would love to play more stuffs out there. Maybe any strategy games in general that's fun.
Yes, I'm surprisingly the thinking type. Though it usually takes me hours of forcibly plowing through enemies in vain before admitting that I do need strategy. lol fire emblem in hard mode

the advance wars series (gba line, could probably emulate it w no fuss) advance wars: dual-strike is my personal favorite but they're all p good imo. sins of a solar empire* (pc game) 4x stategy game, incredible depth, set in space. super fun. AGE OF EMPIRES!!!* (pc game) a classic. get all of them, by which i meant torrent all of them. they're dated, but charming and addictive. civilization series (pc game) another classic. go for V, imo. x-com enemy unknown* (pc game) turn-based strategy, you send in 6 team squads vs everything from robots to giant alien insects. you get to personalize almost everything about your squad and research shit and upgrades and it is just SUPER FUN. there's also a sequel, x-com: enemy within that's supposed to be even better, but i've not played it yet.
*especially recommended.

Alpha Centauri is good if you can get it to work; pretty old-school game (if you can call '90's games old school now?).
I'm sure I'll think of others.
