So, I know we have a thread for sites that we want to see, and that is a good thing. It shows what the community is really having a hankering to RP. But what about those sites that have stuck around throughout the years, and have almost been a constant fixture in the community? Now, just as a bit of an honourable thing, I'd like everyone to mention sites that have lasted longer than a year, that they do not run or moderate. If you've been a member there, fine, but if you have been staff, no dice, don't mention it. For my mention, I'm going to bring up FIRE EMBLEM: WAY OF THE WARRIOR. While I have never been a member here, I've heard they've been around for nine years, but I know for sure they've been around since 2009, and so far the members I have met have been super friendly. So, let's have your mentions!

Lemme see.... for my mention, I'm going to toss out Avarice. Real life wolf shifter that I got started on back three years ago, it's still running and I think it was open at least two years (maybe four) before I joined. I left there due to a dislike of real life faceclaims and some problems with some of the staff team that arose because most of them didn't have the patience to catch me up from "good writer but no idea how to specifically RP right" to "good writer and strong RPer", but a friend of mine IRL says she's taken over and they just concluded their first on-site plot. So yeah while I disagree with some of the people and wouldn't rejoin out of personal preference, all in all, I don't think it's a horribad site... or at least, not in the way that the other mention I could have done would have been. *cough*

BRSW ran from 2009 to 2011, took a two year break, came back in summer of 2013 and has been going ever since. C;
The site's history has been put into separate chapters, and characters and canons from previous chapters have been memorialized in the IC history sections so it's a nice way of recognizing people's time spent on the site.
Older members from previous chapters keep coming back to rejoin the site so I guess that speaks to something about brand loyalty?
